Bronze camp in January

I am joining the Pueto group again this year and preparing for it by melting the wax to make the initial form. It is driving me to frustration, on five occasions in the last weeks have have spent time in my studio playing with the warm wax. It crumbles, it sticks to my fingers, tools and anything it touches, it won't go into the shape I am planning to make into bronze, I am wondering, is it worth it? Clay is so malleable so obliging and tactile.
